SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

SQL Server Integration Services is a tool for exchanging data with other machines. I have over 15 years experience in designing and maintaining such systems from version 2005 onwards. Hit me up.

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

SQL Server Reporting Serices is a tool is for delivering data to users in the form of reports. I'm good at this. I've set up and configured the service on a server FROM SCRATCH. I've had the system prepare packs for clients that are pixel-perfect, presented in PDF format. Table of contents, visualisations, tablix are split sensibly across worksheets etc. Control your jelously and get in touch.

Data insight & analysis

You got some numbers? You want them crunched? I can't work miracles, but I should be able to answer most of your data questions. Did you know... data I prepared appeared in the *FINANCIAL TIMES* Life & Arts travel section. My contribution was uncredited :( Those guys don't mess around when it comes to numbers. They insist on the best and so should you! Hire me.

Microsoft PowerBI

I'm not a fan of Microsoft PowerBI. I think it's over-rated and not as good as SSRS. Microsoft's sales team must push it pretty hard as everyone wants "total clarity of the business landscape" or some management nonsense. A good dashboard begins with an understanding of the issues at hand, if you've got a grip on that; then let's go. Hit me up. It is really good for maps IMO.

Documentation

I feel strongly that any solution should be well documented. A good way to identify if those leading a project are interested in the long term sustainability of it is, if the subject of doucmentation is discussed early on. It often isn't and only really makes itself known when when a key person leaves. If this has happened to you, hit me up.
