Why freshcola?

One day I was going past Regents Convenience (15 Kilburn Lane) and noticed they advertised knock-off cola under the fresh cola brand. It caught my eye and I remembered it when looking for URL for my site.

No ads? Is it expensive to run this site?

I have taken care to keep running costs very low. The technology providers I work with provide a free tier that meets my needs - without ads. You can benefit from this industry knowledge when you hire me.

What's the history of this site?

I began work in 2024 on . My goal was to create a web presence for myself while learning new technologies. I'm now approaching the one year anniversary and I'm really pleased with how it's all gone. I've also got loads more ideas in the pipeline!

Did you write this site yourself?

Yes I did. The site has been hand-coded by me using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It's all my own work - execpt the countdown timer on the 404 page. I copied and pasted that off the internet.

Did your team come 3rd in the 2019 Montengro Half Iron Man?

Yeah, that WAS me. It wasn't a big deal though - I hardly ever think about it, in fact. The results are here for reference.

Are you famous for anything else?

You might be thinking of this: a photo of my index finger once appeared online. Perhaps that was it? Spain's men of the sea. The book sold quickly FYI.

Should we be afraid of the Kessler syndrome?

In short, yes. If you haven't heard about this, it's the (inevitable) scenario whereby some space junk strikes a satellite. The debris then causes a chain reaction of other impacts rendering earth orbits a no-go zone. The effects on earth would be far-reaching. Get prepping! This topic really deserves a longer article, but I'd need to add a "not fun" menu.

Thoughts on the 1976 CFF production "Chimp Mates"?

I like it. I find it charming, original and fun for all the family. They should make more TV like this nowadays. A typical storyline can be found in the episode "Baby sitters". Hilarious antics ensue when a chimp and a baby get mixed up.
