Verago Touring Bicycle Fact-File (5 of 6)
This is my everyday bike in London at the moment. It has some quite exotic features for an everyday bike (chain peg, Oria (oval-ised) tubing, tight tolerances and detailed lugwork. It's fairly dated looking frame and so I'm hoping won't attract the attention of bike theives.
I've had a bit of a struggle getting it to a reasonable standard for enjoyable riding. I had to swap the forks as the threads were damaged. It needed a respray which I got done for £50! The gears are almost set up correctly - the friction shifters are awkward. I've recently got the wheels out of true. And I don't find it that comfortable to ride for any length of time. Hopefully I can resolve these issues and make it a great bike to ride.
